Early 40's.

Never ever going back!
i'm interested to know the age demographics here.
it must be significantly different to other exjw forums.
it would be a damning report for watchtower if most of us appear to have left for decades.. you don't have to mention your exact age, you could always say "in my 50s".. i am in my 70s.

there is an item this week all about yang ones leaving school.. the two brothers go to a career advisor seminar.
one brother thinks it’s good to work hard full time while you are young and tries to encourage his friend to as well.. his friend (who is the good jw trust the gb no matter what they say)) he wants a part time job.. the video shows him dreaming about investing his money on his phone and the chart goes up, he drives a nice car and seems to be doing well financially.. then he reads the scripture in proverbs and next you see that investment chart go down in the red and he is so pleased he just got a low paid part time job.. this infuriates me.
how many of us are now struggling because we were told to get menial part time jobs and we were told the end would have been here by now.. i will never tell a young person to listen to the gb advice on this.
"You young ones, are you concerned about a career? Why?"
Oompa was certainly an O.G. on this forum. Continue to rest in peace.
it's no longer a year tying to the present (the old pre-1995 generation belief).
realistically, that's the only reason why it mattered.
and if it doesn't really matter what it is anymore, why would jw not do away with it?.
What is this 1914 that you speak of?
let's be honest, there's a stigma to the name jehovah's witness.
if they are going more mainstream.
i imagine the first recommendation was a name change.
If they take the name "Jehovah" out of their name, that might be a bridge too far.
during lett’s announcement that beards are now allowed he elaborated at some length how brothers ought to feel and react to the change in policy.
he warned brothers not to resent not being able to grow beards earlier if they had wished to do so.
he also warned brothers who supported the old policy not to allow themselves to wonder what the point of doing so was now that it has changed.
How long will it be before brothers without beards are looked at sideways?
wife and i visited the russell gravesite in allegheny (pittsburgh) pennsylvania yesterday.
i’ll post photos if i can get them to upload on the hotel wifi..
I'm curious as well. Is there any evidence of where the nearby pyramid used to be?
i got the internet in my house and realised it's all lies....but as a pioneer/ministerial servant i chose to fade.
see i had family and friends who were fully strict witnesses.
so i played the poor lost soul brother who is not sure what's happening.
i already have a friend who is trying to tell me that my mental health is causing my disillusionment with the jehovah’s witnesses.
funny that a mental health therapist has told me my mental health issues are caused by being a jehovah’s witness.
i’m still not going back.
Interesting. Since I left, my mental health has been the best it has ever been.
pre covid attendance 1300. i'm almost positive they didn't realign the circuit.. a multitude of 2 baptized.

here's the kicker, they eliminated the pre deficit scam!!
I used to hate going there. It was always super crowed with limited parking. I guess that's not an issue anymore.
